Hope Haven is a response to the need for peace in the busyness of 21st century life.
It offers an escape from the stresses and strains of day to day life providing a refuge, a hope and a haven!
It aims to provide an opportunity for anyone, in any kind of need, to take the words of Jesus literally:
“Come unto Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest”. Matthew 11:28

HOPE HAVEN'S STORY AND VISION
In 2008, I was finding life overwhelming, I felt driven by a deep longing to find a place of peace in God’s presence. Searching for a retreat, I found there was nowhere in the locality which suited my specific needs, and I soon found myself taking the long journey to a Christian retreat centre in Wales. On returning, sitting in my garden of my previous home in Nottingham. I felt a longing to provide a place of peace for myself and others to retreat into. It was a seed of an idea which swiftly became buried due to the time and location.

The intervening years God took me on a personal journey of healing and restoration, and brought about a house move. On moving to the countryside in 2017 God provided the means and the opportunity to make the vision a reality. The seed began to grow, and what had felt out of reach suddenly became a God-given possibility. It is a constant reminder to me that God is always true to His promises, and that 'with Him all things are possible! ’

So it was in rural Nottinghamshire that Hope Haven was born. January 2020 saw the official opening as God provided practical and prayerful support, coupled with the necessary financial provision. All those involved in Hope Haven’s development hope and pray to see the vision grow and become all that God wants it to be - a haven, set apart for his people, to refresh, restore and renew us.

Whether you know Jesus personally, or you are on a journey of faith, Hope Haven is here for you and proof that God works even in the midst of troubles and suffering.
Hope Haven is the first step toward a larger God given vision. With His provision and blessing we hope to be able to develop further excellent accommodation, with rooms for conferences, meetings and worship. We hope to create a lake to attract more wildlife. In addition, adding rooms for quiet moments and spaces for prayer and counselling. Please remember us in prayer that Hope Haven may become all that God wants it to be!
